Hundreds participate in ataxia golf tournament
It was a great day for a round of golf and to help out a good cause.
The Rochester Ataxia Foundation hosted its annual golf tournament and dinner Sunday afternoon at the Webster Golf Club.
You may not have heard of ataxia. It's a movement disorder involving loss of balance and coordination. It can cause difficulty walking and getting around.
Organizers say these fundraisers make a big difference for people who suffer from this disorder.
"For our family, we might have started it, but we knew that the challenges for other families were difficult and nobody should ever have to feel alone,? said Suzanne Coglitore, president of the Rochester Ataxia Foundation.
More than 300 people taking part in this afternoon's golf tournament and dinner.
