Sony Xperia Z Release Date This Month in Europe, Price And Release Date Update Available

Sony?s Xperia Z is on the verge of joining the crowded smartphone market this month, but it will hit European stores first on February 21st, specifically in Germany according to one of Sony?s Germany Facebook fan page.
Apart from Germany, other countries in Europe are also expected to welcome the new Sony Android flagship smartphone by end of February. Third-party online retailers also started accepting pre-orders last month with initial units arriving on the 28th. At Clove in the United Kingdom, the unlocked Xperia Z is priced??522.00, but it will come with a free wireless speaker. In United States, Negri Electronics catalog also display the handset, available in white or black, with the price tag of $772. Negri doesn?t offer a release date as of the moment.
Let?s go back to Europe. Phones4U, a popular independent phone retailer is already accepting pre-registration. Its product page reveal the same February 28th release date.
No word yet for ?United States wireless carriers (Verizon, Sprint, AT&T and T-Mobile USA) but it is safe to say that AT&T will carry this smartphone at some point because the carrier loves Sony devices. Verizon is also a good contender because it once carried the Sony Xperia Play, the PlayStation Android smartphone.
The Sony Xperia Z is considered by many as do-or-die ?again? smartphone of Sony. Can it outsell rival Android phones ? like the rumored HTC One M7 handset or the much talked about Samsung Galaxy S4? Apart from Android devices, the Xperia Z will also compete with other platforms such as the newly launched BlackBerry Z10 and the Apple iPhone 5.
