Instructors sought for UAM's non-credit classes ? SEARK TODAY
The Community Education Program at the University of Arkansas at Monticello is seeking qualified instructors to teach non-credit classes during June, July and August, 2013, according to Memorie Dickson, program coordinator.
Program areas include art and hobbies, computers and technology, home and garden, health and fitness, personal and professional development, special interest and youth programs.
?During the school year, our programs are geared primarily to adults,? said Dickson. ?The summer months, however, offer a perfect opportunity to expand our programming to include children and teens. Last year we had over 80 area children participate in our program, and we hope to double that number this summer. Our goal is to offer quality, non-graded courses that are both stimulating and fun.?
Individuals interested in teaching for the Department of Community Education should be proficient in their subject areas.? To submit a course for consideration, potential instructors should complete a course proposal form and return it to UAM Community Education, P. O. Box 3520, Monticello, AR 71656.
Course proposal forms can be found on the university?s website.? Scroll to the bottom of the home page and click on Community Education under Campus Resources.? A current schedule of classes and additional information about the program are also available on the website.
The deadline for proposals is March 8. For more information, contact Dickson at (870) 460-1028 or email her at dickson@uamont.edu.
